I'm raising money to help relieve the financial burden from families that have a child being treated for a cancer diagnosis.
Hi, my name is Sarah and I have very long hair!
This will be my 5th and likely my last hair donation, so I will be going out with a 'bang' and shaving my head this time - I know, scary!
My hair donation journey began as a teenager after a medical scare changed my outlook on life. Although I was extremely lucky in that my bone tumour was benign and I was able to keep my long, flowing locks - I realised I didn't need to. I decided my healthy hair would better benefit another young person who had a less fortunate diagnosis than I.
And so I spend years growing my hair to hip length and chopping it to chin height to donate every few years.
My goal this time, is to not only donate my hair but to raise funds towards the creation of bespoke wigs for children, provide essential financial assistance to families in need, and funding within paediatric oncology hospitals across the country, ensuring that every child facing cancer receives the care and support they deserve.

What your doing Sarah is absolutely awesome.👍🇦🇺🍺 My mum went bald back in the earley 1970,s It was a Stress Disorder. I rember how happy she was when my sisters bought Her her first wig so she could attend their weddings in comfort. The hair has to come from somewhere. It won't be mutch cause imm bald anyway. But I'll shave my hair and beard in support of your venture.🐈⬛. Ohh and my Mum eventually grew her hair back, it was Grey but so was she by that time. It was nice to se her grow old with dignity.
