23 years in the making

By Kimberly Campbell Join Me

I'm raising money to help relieve the financial burden from families that have a child being treated for a cancer diagnosis.

I am cutting my hair to fundraise to support the creation of bespoke wigs for children, provide essential financial assistance to families in need, and funding within paediatric oncology hospitals across the country, ensuring that every child facing cancer receives the care and support they deserve.

Every dollar raised helps a child and their family through one of the hardest times of their lives.

Thank you for supporting me, for supporting these kids, and for helping keep my Pa’s spirit alive through this act of love.

With gratitude,

My Updates

Quarter way there

Saturday 18th Oct
Hi Everyone, Thankyou so much for the love and support. We have already reached a quarter of our goal! 🎉

My whole life I’ve had lots of strangers compliment my hair, it’s become so normal to me almost everywhere I go! So to all those people and everyone who has ever told me not to cut off my hair, I hope this is a good enough cause, and it will grow back!

My hair has always made me feel beautiful, anlmost like a security blanket and now I want to give this gift to a child who would feel even more beautiful and confident wearing it. ❤️✨

✂️ Donating My Hair for Wigs for Kids: A Personal Journey with Purpose

Thursday 16th Oct
For as long as I can remember, my hair has been a huge part of who I am. I’ve grown it my whole life, only ever having small trims, and it’s become part of my identity. But about four years ago, I set myself a goal—a big one. I decided that once I finished my university degree, I would cut my hair and donate it to Wigs for Kids. That time has come.

This isn't just a haircut—this is the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

Why Wigs for Kids?

Wigs for Kids is a non-profit organization that provides custom-made wigs to children who have lost their hair due to cancer. These wigs are made to be secure, breathable, and built for active kids—helping them regain confidence and feel like themselves again.

I chose this organization not only because of the incredible work they do, but because this cause hits very close to home.

Inspired by My Pa

Ten years ago, I lost my beloved Pa to cancer. Throughout his illness, he never complained about his own suffering. Instead, he often spoke about how heartbreaking it must be for children to go through something so cruel at such a young age. That compassion and perspective left a lasting mark on me.

So, I’ve decided to do this in his memory.

Not only am I donating my hair to help a child in need feel whole again, I’m also raising money to support Wigs for Kids and the families they help. Medical costs, emotional support, and the journey through treatment can be incredibly overwhelming. Every dollar raised helps a child and their family through one of the hardest times of their lives.
