Georgie's big chop for kids with cancer

Help me reach my goal of $1,000

I'm raising money to help families that have a child being treated for a cancer diagnosis.

I have been growing my hair for as long as I can remember and decided a few years ago I wanted to donate it to help make a wig for kids with cancer. Mum said if it was longer than 30cm it would considered a 'gold standard' length for Wigs4Kids and I am finally there!  This will be my first time ever with short hair! 

While donating my hair is an essential part of the programme, fundraising is what will cover the costs of transforming the hair into a wig and providing ongoing support to kids with cancer and their families. 

Your donation would be much appreciated and together we can make life easier for kids with cancer.

Tuesday 10th Mar
Well I've had the big chop and I must say I love my new hair cut! Special thanks to Bec from Vain Hair in Glenelg. 

I finished on a total of $1140 and my hair is off to the wigmakers. 

A last big THANK YOU to all of those who supported me! xx

Hit $1000!

I have now hit the magic $1000 mark, so I am off to the hairdressers! Get ready to see my new bob soon. .

One last fundraising target!

Monday 9th Feb
Wow, I can't believe how generous people are! I started out with a goal of raising $500, then when I hit that I aimed for $800 and now I am over that mark, I have one last target.....$1000! 

Did you know, that with that the amount I have raised already, we could provide 40 Care Packs for kids with cancer in hospital, to brighten up their day with snacks, activities and distractions. Amazing!!

Thanks to everyone who has so far so kindly contributed and I look forward to updating you with my new hairdo shortly.
