I'm raising money to help relieve the financial burden from families that have a child being treated for a cancer diagnosis.
Soon, I'll be saying goodbye to 50cm of my hair and donating it to Wigs4Kids™, but this journey is about so much more than a haircut.
For many children undergoing cancer treatment, losing their hair is one of the first visible reminders that life has changed. It can affect their confidence, identity and sense of normality during an already incredibly difficult time.
By donating my hair and raising funds, I'm helping Wigs4Kids™ create bespoke human hair wigs for children facing cancer across Australia. These wigs do more than replace lost hair, they help children feel like themselves again, giving them confidence as they navigate treatment, return to school and continue being kids.
The funds raised also provide much-needed support beyond wigs, including Care Packs for children in hospital, financial assistance for families facing the burden of treatment and funding for paediatric oncology services across the country.
As a registered nurse, I've seen how much of a difference compassionate care and support can make during some of life's hardest moments. That's why this cause is so close to my heart.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps make today a little easier for a child with cancer and their family. Together, we can restore confidence, provide support and remind these children that they are never facing this journey alone.
Thank you for supporting my fundraising journey and helping create confidence for kids with cancer. 💙
