I’m a little man on a big mission!

Hi, My name is Tristan. With the help of my Mum and Dad, as well as the staff of my school, we have organised a Crazy Hair Day in the last week of the 2025 school year. During this day, we will be accepting gold coin donations to add to our fundraising efforts on behalf of Wigs4Kids!

3 years ago, I had a conversation with my Mum about how some kids lose their hair because of the treatments they receive in their battle against cancer. In that moment, my mighty heart broke for those kids. I couldn’t imagine facing so many challenges and changes. I decided then and there that I was not only going to grow and donate my own hair in order to create bespoke wigs, but that I was also going to try and raise as much money as I could to help fund supports for these kids, their families, as well as for cancer research. I was only 7 years old when I made such a big decision. 3 years of hair growth is a long time to a little boy.

As for the Crazy Hair Day at my school? That’s going to be the icing on the cake! In front of my fellow students and the amazing staff at Turner School, my Mum is going to put my hair in several ponytails, cut it off and pop it in a zip-lock bag, ready to be sent off to Wigs4Kids! Simple, yet nerve wracking!

How can you help? Any donations made by my family, friends and wider community will go towards achieving my goal of $1000. So far, I have already received a few cash donations and they will be added to the grand total.

Thank you all so, so much for your help. I’m a little nervous, but with all your good vibes, kind words and support, I can’t wait to put a smile on the face of a kid who will look absolutely fantastic with a new head of hair.
