We’d like to send a big THANK YOU to everyone who has supported her in this fundraiser very dear to our hearts supporting kids undergoing treatment for cancer. 

We’d like to thank everyone who has kindly and generously donated to this cause, and your messages of support have really encouraged Sophie.

Sophie locks for Kids Cancer

Tuesday 18th Feb Sophie would like to thank you all for the amazing support shown to her for this special cause so far. The support has been nothing short of incredible. Sophie’s Locks for Kids Cancer

Please join with us in supporting Sophie in her act of kindness.

Our dear, fun loving, caring Sophie has decided it’s time to make a difference, in honour of kids fighting cancer. 

At Age 8, this will be Sophie’s 3rd ever haircut. Her long locks have been very special to her with scissors only brushing her hair for a trim on two special occasions. One of those occasions was with new friends during a stay at the Ronald McDonald House in Monash where she spent two weeks after a surgery as a regional patient. 

It was during this stay that Sophie’s desire to make a difference to sick kids really blossomed. She was blessed to make many friends throughout her stay, and was able to experience first hand how lives of families can be changed so quickly with an unwelcome diagnosis. 

She experienced first hand the wonderful work of the Ronald McDonald Charities, the starlight foundation, the lollipop radio girls, all of which provide so much to families and kids in hospital. 

Whilst these are all amazing services Sophie is too young to join. 

Little did we know, three months down the track, Sophie’s youngest cousin Archie would be faced with the unwelcome diagnosis of Leukaemia. 

So Sophie has decided she wants to raise money and awareness for all the kids suffering from cancer and its gruelling treatments and side effects. 

Sophie has chosen to make her difference by cutting her hair and donating it to wigs4kids. 

She is also asking you to support her in raising funds alongside her donation which will help provide care packages to kids whilst they undergo treatments.
