I’m raising money in an attempt to bring a smile to a young person’s face, who has been dealing with childhood cancer.
I initially decided to shave my head and donate my hair to encourage people to sign up to the stem cell register. I didn’t really consider the cost involved in getting a wig made. Twelve months on from starting my stem cell donor campaign, it would feel like running a marathon and stumbling at the final straight if I didn’t try to raise some money for Wigs 4 Kids.
The cost to make a wig is $3,300 (inc. GST). It has been a long twelve months, so with a bit of luck and a lot of generosity, it would be good to knock over this target in a few weeks!
