Sheldon's Hair Cut for Kids With Cancer

Help me reach my goal of $500

I'm raising money to help relieve the financial burden from families that have a child being treated for a cancer diagnosis.

I have been growing my hair since 2022 after I lost my hair from having radiation as part of my treatment for leukemia.  My family received support for the Kids with Cancer Foundation during this time and I was also approved to have a Wig made by Wigs for Kids but due to covid we decided not to go ahead with it at the time.  I know first hand how much I missed my hair during this time and I've been inspired to grow my hair so that it can be made for another who is missing their hair.  

I'm also hoping that by cutting my hair and creating this fundraiser I'll be able to give back and to support the creation of bespoke wigs for children, provide essential financial assistance to families in need, and funding within paediatric oncology hospitals across the country, ensuring that every child facing cancer receives the care and support they deserve.

We would like to thank Kim and the Team at Envious Hair for cutting my hair to support this fundraiser. We would really appreciate any further assistance from our friends and family to support me in my fundraising journey, together we can make today easier for kids with cancer and their families.

2021 - Receiving a Package from the Kids with Cancer Foundation

Sheldon with Dr Frank Alvaro (Head kids Oncologist at John Hunter) receiving a package from the Kids with Cancer Foundation confirming that they would be able to make her Wig. This photo was taken in 2021 in between Chemo cycles where her hair had started to grow back, only for it to fall out again.  As mentioned, we later declined the wig due to covid.
