It is time for the long locks to go! Help me put them to a good cause
After about four years of the pandemic induced experiment to grow my hair out, I have decided that I have had enough. I wanted to know what it was like to have long hair and now I do - it is a bit of a pain in the backside! So I am returning to my original look that had so many people convinced I was actually bald.
The unexpected silver lining? My hair is now long enough to donate to Wigs4Kids, an organisation that creates custom-made wigs for children battling cancer. It turns out my little narcissistic experiment can help make a big difference in a child's life.
But here's the catch: each wig costs nearly $3,000 to make, requiring over 40 hours of skilled work to create. We can help subsidize this cost and bring a bit of confidence to a child enduring what no child should have to go through.
I need your support to raise $2,750, which will go directly toward creating a wig for a child in need. Any extra funds will go towards supporting families with children who are fighting cancer, easing their financial burden during this challenging time.
The hair gets the chop on Sunday 19th May, so I need your donations before then. Every dollar counts!
