Oliver Hogan

I'm raising money to help relieve the financial burden from families that have a child being treated for a cancer diagnosis.

I am cutting my hair to fundraise to help sick kids throughout Australia.  Not only will my lovely locks be used to make a wig, your donations to the cause that means so much to me, will allow Kids with Cancer Foundation to continue with their financial support of families that have a child suffering cancer.

Please help me raise $2750 to fund the cost of a wig for child need to feel more confident, you can do this by sharing this page with your family and friends, together we can all make a difference.

Thnakyou Andrew Fewster

Wednesday 12th Jun
Andrew is a teacher who has been living in Millicent SA for a number of years now. When I decideed to do this and announced it to local musicians, Andrew approached me with a very interesting story and proposition.
In 1989 and in year 9 at the time,  Andrew decided that hair cuts were a waste of money and decided to give them up. During the next 10 years he would continue to let it grow until it reached his waist.  Over time, his mother in-law would nag him about his hair, however after 12 months without any nagging, he decided to cut it off during the summer holidays without telling anybody, surprising all his students and fellow teachers the following year. Not knowing what to do with the hair, he put it away in a safe place figuring something would come up in the future.
When he heard of this fundraiser, he decided that it could be an extra incentive for people to donate and if we reached over $3000 he would throw his ponytail into the ring.
This is very exciting, not only have we reached his challenge so far, but also getting more hair to provide much needed wigs for children with cancer.
Thankyou so much Andrew!

Why the chop?

Wednesday 15th May
I have been growing my hair now since 2019, starting off as laziness to not get a haircut in the beginning, then moving to see how long I could grow it. With my 30th birthday coming up at the end of May, I figured why not start with a fresh hair cut and also use the hair to do some good for others in this world.
