The Human Sheep Project
18 months ago, I joined my friends Duncan Banks and Travers Purton on a mission. Along the way, we were lucky to recruit the awesome Susie Pascoe.
That mission was to each grow our hair to 20cm+, so we could shave it all off and donate it to Wigs4Kids - a program that creates wigs for children who lose their hair during cancer treatment.
This week, my hair officially reached 20cm and has been subsequently shaved off, placed in a sandwich bag and posted up to Wigs4Kids HQ.
Our campaign, known as the Human Sheep Project, was inspired and led by Duncan. His young daughter, Beatrix, had been undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, known as rhabdomyosarcoma, in March 2024.
Devastatingly, Bea lost her courageous battle earlier this month.
I am proud to be a small part of a large community of people who have shown Duncan and his family we are with them.
If this has inspired you you to support the incredible work that the team at Kids With Cancer do, please donate to them here!
Thanks,
MS
