I'm raising money to help relieve the financial burden from families that have a child being treated for a cancer diagnosis.

I am cutting my hair to fundraise to help sick kids throughout Australia.  Not only will my lovely locks be used to make a wig, your donations to the cause that means so much to me, will allow Kids with Cancer Foundation to continue with their financial support of families that have a child suffering cancer.

Please help me raise $2750 to fund the cost of a wig for child need to feel more confident, you can do this by sharing this page with your family and friends, together we can all make a difference.

She did it!!

She did it! Wow it went so much smoother then I expected. Firstly, thank you for all your kind words and donations towards the wigs for kids foundation. You can still donate to the fundraiser even tho the locks are chopped.

Secondly, thank you to Kristy Oar at @boutique_hair_bar for cutting Lyla's hair and donating her time and hair expertise. Lyla was pretty adamant she only wanted Mrs Oar to cut it.. 

Well, what can Mark and I say. We are pretty proud of her to say the least.. This kid absolutely loved her long hair and took extremely good care of it, knowing that she wanted to donate it to sick children. We did think she was going to have an emotional moment as it was being cut off but she handled it so well and actually smiled through most of it. 

I just read her note that she put with it and it brought a tear to my eye. Was beautiful. It will be sent off tomorrow to be turned into a wig for kids with cancer.

 Lyla's goal was really to get $500 in donations but she is blown away by all the love and support from everyone and can't wait to see where it ends up! 


Wigs for Kids

My name is Lyla and I am donating 30cms of my hair to children that need it. 

I have been growing my hair for the past 2 years with the goal of being able to donate. A date has been set for next week. 

It does cost money for wigs to be made. If you have a spare few dollars to help towards the cost of making wigs for kids then please support a worthy cause. 

No child should ever have to go through cancer but hopefully I can help bring a smile to someone who really needs it.
