Hi, my name is Kiana! 💕
I’ve been growing my hair for 2 years. but I know it'll mean so much more to a child who had lost theirs.
So, on my birthday this year, I'll be cutting my hair off so it can be made into a beautiful wig for a child who has lost their hair during cancer treatment.
My big brother, Romesh, is joining me too! He’s shaving his hair to help raise awareness, and we’re both doing it in front of our whole school.

💕 Who are we ?

We’re Kiana and Romesh, a brother and sister from Melbourne who believe even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference.
For the past two years, Kiana has been growing her beautiful long hair. She loved it, and the thought of cutting it made her feel scared and unsure. She wondered if she’d miss it and whether she was brave enough to let it go.
One day, Amma asked a simple question:
“What if you cut your hair for a purpose?”
That question stayed with Kiana.
The more she learned about children with cancer who lose their hair during treatment, the more she realised they don’t get to choose when it happens. She did have a choice, and she decided she wanted her hair to become something much more meaningful.
So, for her 8th birthday, Kiana is cutting her long hair to help create a bespoke wig for a child affected by cancer.
Watching his little sister make such a brave decision inspired her big brother, Romesh, to join the journey. He’ll be shaving his head too, helping raise awareness and funds as they both take on this challenge together in front of their whole school.
Through this fundraiser, we’re supporting the Kids With Cancer Foundation, helping provide bespoke wigs for children, financial assistance for families, and funding for paediatric oncology hospitals across Australia.
This journey has taught our family something we’ll always remember:
Hair grows back. Kindness stays forever.
We hope our story inspires others to use what they have, whether it’s their hair, their time, or their generosity, to make a difference in someone else’s life.
