Helping kids with Cancer
When Tim went through his cancer treatment, he went from having a head of thick, almost black hair to basically no hair at all.
I remember the photos from his last Christmas, where I had this pixie cut of brown curls and he was basically bald.Β He just looked so different, and even as a 5 year old, this was a big hit to his confidence.
I don't want any child going through cancer treatment to feel self conscious about their hair. This is often the least of their worries and yet it's the first thing they see when they look in the mirror, and the lack of hair is often the most obvious sign of what their little bodies are battling.
When my beautiful nice Elena recently donated her hair to be made into wigs, I was surprised I had never thought of it before. I have gone from having very long hair to very short hair at least 3 times before and all those other times my beautiful, healthy hair has ended up in the bin.Β Β
So this time when I cut my hair, it will be used to create bespoke wigs for children.
The money I raise through promoting this cause will provide essential financial assistance to families in need, ensuring that every child facing cancer receives the care and support they deserve.
Please support me on my fundraising journey. Together, we can make today easier for kids with cancer and their families.
I have a attached a photo in loving memory of my big brother Timothy, who sadly lost his battle, but whose memory motivates and inspires me and many others to keep striving for a better world, each and every day.
