We’re raising funds to help bring comfort and confidence to kids who are going through a tough time — reminding them they’re loved, brave, and never alone.
We’ve decided to shave our heads to donate our hair so it can be made into wigs for kids going through tough times.
Our inspiration comes from close to home. Our mum recently went through chemotherapy, and watching her face the challenges of treatment — including hair loss — with such courage and grace has been deeply moving. It showed us how powerful it is to adapt, stay strong, and keep smiling through something so tough. We can only imagine how much harder that must feel for a child.
Dean’s journey adds another layer to our “why.” He went through leukaemia as a child, and over the past two years he’s been growing his hair so he could donate it too.
Each wig costs $2,750 to make, and we’re hoping to raise $5,500 — enough for two wigs — but there’s no limit to how much good we can do. Every dollar raised helps make a difference and supports more kids who deserve to feel confident and cared for.
So, we’re shaving our heads to honour our family, our friends, and every child who has faced illness or hair loss with incredible bravery. If our hair can be turned into wigs that help even one child feel confident, cared for, and a little less worried — then every strand will have been worth it. 💛
