Hi there! Arlo is raising money and donating his hair to help kids with cancer
Having watched a program about children with cancer, Arlo not only saw how tough their fight was, but also what a big difference it made to the kids when they received a bespoke wig. The program detailed how complex the process was just to make a single wig and how helpful every donation was toward that process. When the program finished Arlo told us he thought he could help and so from that day on he began growing his hair in order to donate toward a wig for a child going through cancer. Arlo's big cut will be at the end of October 2024.
This year we also had an uncle who sadly lost his battle with cancer, as well as a close family friend who has just been diagnosed and is beginning their fight. So in honour of everyone who has been affected by cancer, but especially those close to us, Arlo is not just donating his hair, he is also fundraising. These funds help toward things like: providing essential financial assistance to families in need, funding within paediatric oncology hospitals across the country and ensuring that every child facing cancer receives the care and support they deserve.
However, we know times are financially tough for many people at the moment, so please do not feel pressured to donate. If however you do feel you have the means to give, he would be appreciative of any support.
