Otis Lanyon

I'm raising money to help relieve the financial burden from families that have a child being treated for a cancer diagnosis.

The time has come and Otis is ready to part with his gorgeous long locks!  His beautiful hair is 4 years in the making and though we will be sad to see it go we knew this day would come and that we would support his decision.   Anyone who has had the pleasure of running their fingers through his hair knows just how thick, silky and healthy it is so it was never a doubt in our minds that when we made the big chop that we would be donating it to ensure his hair goes towards making a wig for a sick child in Australia.

Not only will Otis's lovely locks be used to make a wig, your donations will also allow Kids with Cancer Foundation to continue with their financial support of families that have a child suffering cancer.

We will be fundraising over the next few weeks and once the current restrictions have been eased we can lock in a date for the big chop!

The time has finally come 💇‍♂️

That's right folks, we have a date for the big chop! Sunday 31st October! In just a few short days our beautiful friend Katie will be coming over to chop off all of that fabulous hair so that it can be sent off to make a wig for a very special little person. We're so incredibly proud of Otis for being able to provide this gift to a very worthy cause and we will be forever grateful to all of you who have supported him on this journey! For anyone who is yet to donate, but would still like to, please jump on over the next few days and hopefully we can finish it off at an even $6k! We will be sure to post plenty of before and after shots and a video of the big chop for everyone who is following along! A huge thank you again for all of your patience and support, now please excuse me while I spend the next few days making the most of running my fingers through Oti's luscious locks before they're gone 😭

Over $5000!

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to check in to say a huge thank you to those who have helped us tick over the $5000 mark!  We're so incredibly thankful for everyone's support as we understand that it's a difficult time for some financially due to Covid so to have been able to raise such a substantial amount is amazing!

I also wanted to say a huge thank you to F45 Training Broadmeadows for choosing Otis's fundraiser to support as part of their "Heroes Hollywood" class that was due to run on Saturday 7th August.  This is a day that F45 choose a local charity to support and collect donations from their members.  Unfortunately due to the current Victorian lockdown the day wasn't able to go ahead with all gyms being closed however we did receive online donations from some of their beautiful members so we thank them for their support, it's so appreciated!

Everyone is so excited for the big chop and we're disappointed that these lockdowns continue to delay it but we will keep you all in the loop as soon as we're able to go ahead with it.

And again, a huge thank you for everyone's support!

Throwback to Otis's first haircut!

Some of you may not know that Otis was born with a head full of jet black hair!  As it started to grow it turned in to the beautiful golden blonde that it is today.  At 8 months old, with his blonde regrowth and black ends, he had his first haircut!  Then his long hair journey began.  Between his first haircut and today he has had two trims to neaten up the ends keeping them nice and healthy.  Otis has absolutely loved having long hair and it has been a huge part of who he is but he's now ready for a new 'do'!

With the current lockdown in Victoria ending and restrictions starting to ease we can look at locking in a date for the big chop!  We will keep you all updated but until then donations are still welcome and very much appreciated.  Let's try and hit that $8,000 target!

This is WONDERFUL NEWS!!!! After a quiet day of donations some amazing people out there managed to smash out another few donations tonight which has taken us to our goal of $4000!!! THANK YOU!!! Now, I did say that each time we reached a new target I would double it soooooo $8000 IS THE NEW GOAL TO BEAT!! Can we do it? YES WE CAN!!!!

When we woke up this morning we couldn't believe that we had reached over $3,000 in donations!  Well done to all of you who have donated so far!
