I'm raising money to help relieve the financial burden from families that have a child being treated for a cancer diagnosis.

I am cutting my hair to fundraise to help sick kids throughout Australia.  Not only will my lovely locks be used to make a wig, your donations to the cause that means so much to me, will allow Kids with Cancer Foundation to continue with their financial support of families that have a child suffering cancer.

Sunday 27th Aug
The day has come! Beautiful locks of approximately 30 cm were cut off. Jamka is very happy with her new hairstyle. The hair will be sent to Ella Wigmakers in NSW who will make a wig for Kids With Cancer Foundation. We're so proud of Jamka!!! Fundraiser is open till 12 September and we're now aiming to reach $6,500!

Monday 21st Aug
Jamka cuts her hair on 26 August. We are in awe of support shown to Jamka and her cause. We started with the hope to raise $1,000. Then I upped it to $2,000 the next day. Then upped it again and again. Her fundraiser is now at over $5,500! I have upped the goal, once again, now to $6,000. This week Jamka and I are cherishing our morning routine - brushing her hair and plaiting it. This time next week, Jamka will style her bob on her own. (Teary moment for a mother who's daughter is growing too fast!) While I'm plaiting her hair, Jamka talks about a child that her hair will help. She says it might be a kid, it might be a baby - it could be a child of any age. She empathises with the experience they might be going through and discusses how money will help with medication. So proud of her! Thank you to our network and community for your support!

It was Jamka's birthday yesterday. She spent a fun afternoon with her friends at a play centre. Our friends have been so supportive and generous - her fundraiser is at almost $5,000! In just one week! Now 19 days to go till she cuts her hair.

Jamka's Fundraiser for Kids With Cancer

Dear friends, 

Jamka has beautiful thick hair and as it grew longer we thought she could do something meaningful with it.

So, on 26 August, she will cut her hair and donate it to be made into a wig for a child who lost their hair to cancer treatment. Her hair donation will also be accompanied by a fundraiser for Kids With Cancer Foundation. 

August 6 is Jamka's 7th birthday and it will be a memorable one! She is proud and excited at the opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life.
