I'm raising money to help relieve the financial burden from families that have a child being treated for a cancer diagnosis.
Hi everyone,
I am fundraising for Kids with Cancer Foundation, an organisation that helps sick kids throughout Australia!
I'm a bit of a homebody these days and I’ve grown my hair out longer than ever, so thought I'd try and do some good while I'm at it. In addition to raising funds, I am setting stretch goals where, if we raise enough money, I will donate my own hair to be made into wigs. These wigs will go directly to children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment, providing them with some comfort and confidence.
I have had family and friends both survive and succumb to cancer. I don't think there is an Australia who hasn't. One of many things cancer survivors struggle with is the changes that happen to their bodies. Many people don't speak about the permanent changes chemo and radio make to their bodies, and suffer along in silence. I cannot help with this besides saying I see you, I support you, and I am here to listen... But there is one thing I can do to help, and that's donate my ridiculously long locks for wigs!
---
It takes at least 20cm of hair to make a wig, and I have at least 40cm to give!
If I raise $500, I will donate 20cm of my hair—enough to make 1 wig!
If I reach $1000, I will donate 40cm of my hair—enough to make two wigs!
If I reach $2000, I will donate 40cm of my hair AND do some crazy with the hair I have left, and she pics with everyone that donates!
---
Dont forget, your donations will allow the Kids with Cancer Foundation to continue their essential financial support for families with a child suffering from cancer.
And it's the EOFY, so donate generously for some sweet sweet tax breaks and a nice dopamine hit!
Please donate & share my fundraiser it with your family and friends so you can live vicariously through my wild hair journey.
Together, we can all make a difference!
