I'm raising money to help relieve the financial burden from families that have a child being treated for a cancer diagnosis.

I will be shaving my hair on October 31st to raise money for kids with cancer and their families throughout Australia!

This is not brave. What kids with cancer and their families go through on a daily basis and in the years following diagnosis is brave 🤍

Your donations will allow Kids with Cancer Foundation to continue with their financial support of families that have a child suffering cancer. They provide support in so many ways, not in the least to regional and rural families who have to travel to access treatment.

Your donations touch my heart. It's my honest privilege to do this, and I'm so grateful for every little bit that can contribute to this very worthy cause.

... but Christmas just wouldn't be the same if your child (or sibling, or family member, or friend) was dealing with cancer. Instead of the expenses we've all come to know with the silly season, these families have to factor in how they're going to pay bills, mortgages, travel costs, food, parking charges at hospitals ... and the list goes on.

September is International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!

I have the absolute privilege every day to watch children being children. Playing, learning, communicating, making decisions, helping their peers, and just being wonderful little budding additions to the world.

I am immensely lucky that my four babies have so far had good health and been free of serious illness. Through my work in Early Childhood Education, I am lucky to witness children just being children.

It breaks my heart that there are children who have to deal with more in their short lives than anyone should have to, and families who have to see their children go through it.  I want to do what I can to show my support.

"There are over a dozen types of childhood cancers, and countless subtypes, making it more challenging for researchers to find cures for every child.

It is estimated that 870 children aged 0-14 years will be newly diagnosed with cancer in Australia.

The overall survival rate for childhood cancer has now risen to over 80%, thanks to medical research."
