Dans shave

So far in my life I have been fortunate enough to have minimal personal experience with cancer, however, I’m well aware many others are not so lucky.

As a father I empathise with all of the parents, and my heart goes out to all of the children doing their best following a diagnosis.

On the 12th of January 2026, I will be shaving off all of my hair so that it may go to someone who needs it more. Your donations will allow Kids with Cancer Foundation to continue with their financial support of families that have a child suffering cancer.

To get the ball rolling, I have made the first donation myself. Please donate to my fundraiser, and share with your family and friends, together we can all make a difference

The big chop

Tuesday 13th Jan
Yesterday was the big day (as well as being my 30th birthday).
Off it all came, and what a wonderful experience it was. I would like to thank the team at ‘Color Me Happy’ in Pakenham for making it possible to do it on my birthday, and Jess in particular for personally handling the donation while being such a gem and super inclusive of the family I brought along. Could not recommend that salon enough.

Also a thank you to all of you once again, for all of your contributions, kind words, and support throughout this whole event. Some of you I know personally, and some of you I don’t, but you are all incredible and I’m grateful for each and every one of you.

Wishing all of you the very best, and many returns on the generosity you’ve shown.

We did it!

Tuesday 6th Jan
I’ve never raised funds before. When creating this page, I had no idea what a reasonable amount of money to expect to raise was. $1,000 was the pre-filled default, so I went with it, without knowing if it was actually realistic or not.

But here we are, with just under a week to go, and counting cash donations  (which will all be included by the end of the fundraiser) we have comfortably passed the $1,000 mark.

I’ve done my best to thank you all individually, but I’d like to take a moment to thank you all again. Every single one of you is amazing, and I’ve been blown away by your kindness and generosity.

You have all helped to turn a simple haircut into something that will make a positive impact on the lives of people in need, and made this an experience that I will remember fondly for the rest of my life.

So once again, thank you.
Love ya’s 💜
